Catherine Gin

Communications Manager

Catherine is an experienced development and communications leader with a background in philanthropy, nonprofit management, marketing, and international development. She currently serves as Communications Manager for Phileo Shared Services, supporting Christian schools across the greater Philadelphia region with strategic leadership in branding, messaging, digital communications, and community engagement.

Catherine approaches her work with professionalism, diligence, and a deep sense of calling. She views her vocation as an opportunity to glorify God and participate in His kingdom work, seeking roles within Christian-led organizations where she can contribute to mission-centered environments. Prayer guides her leadership as she asks the Lord for wisdom, strength, and attentiveness to the needs of her team.

Before joining Phileo, Catherine served as Communications Manager at Delaware County Christian School and as Director of Development at Covenant Mercies, where she led fundraising strategy, donor communications, outreach, and marketing. Her leadership increased donation revenue by 15% during the pandemic and produced key donor materials including annual reports and ministry publications.

Her earlier consulting work included development strategy for YoungMoms Community and grant writing and research for the American Bible Society and Geneva Global. She also held roles at the John Templeton Foundation, coordinating global philanthropic summits, and at Geneva Global, where she served as Regional Director for China and Southeast Asia, overseeing over $5.4 million in grants benefitting more than 500,000 people.

Catherine holds an M.A. in Regional Studies East Asia from Harvard University, dual B.A. degrees in Visual Arts and East Asian Studies from Oberlin College, and an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Geneva.
