Ella is a results-driven financial leader who brings over 25 years of accounting and financial management experience to Phileo Shared Services. She has spent her career building robust financial systems, ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance, and leading high-performing teams. Most recently, she served as the Controller and Accounting Manager at Benchmark Federal Credit Union.
Her core areas of accounting expertise include:
- Financial Oversight & Reporting: Extensive experience managing full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and complex month- and year-end closes.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Deep familiarity with regulatory reporting (including NCUA, BSA, AML, and OFAC standards) and a proven track record of coordinating clean annual audits.
- System Optimization & Security: Highly skilled in financial software and a fraud-prevention specialist who successfully designed systems that reduced organizational fraud losses by 50%.
- Team Leadership: A collaborative leader dedicated to staff training, team development, and streamlining cross-departmental workflows.
Ella holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management having completed her graduate studies at Keller Graduate School of Management. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Accounting from Ursinus College.
Beyond her extensive technical and analytical capabilities, Ella is driven by a deep personal faith and is actively involved in her local church. With a strong heart for stewardship, she is especially excited to use her financial gifts to strengthen Christian schools in the region and support Christian education sustainability efforts—aligning her professional talents to help further the Kingdom of God on earth.
